*Job Duties*
– Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
– Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest, providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
– Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
– Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisors.
– Knowledge of the Daycare Services Act
– Knowledge of licensing regulations
– Establish guidelines for behaviour.
– Plan and maintain an environment that protects children’s health, security and well-being.
– Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
– Assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.
– Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
– Order supplies and equipment.
– Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.
– Attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children.

*Job Requirements*
• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
• Experience: experience an asset.
-An Early Childhood Educator License, First Aid, and CPR Certificate are required.
-Criminal record check, immunization records.
-Reliability, dependability, team player.
• Language: English
