Responsibilities
Tasks
– Develop production schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning
– Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages
– Plan and organize daily operations
– Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines
– Direct quality control inspections
– Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or
production techniques
– Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of
work
– Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget
– Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
– Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
– Perform financial calculations, such as costing and budgeting
– Determine strategic planning related to new product lines
