Valerie is looking for a Home Support Worker (Live-In Caregiver) to provide in-home care to an elderly female adult. The residence for the position is located in the community of Oakridge in Calgary, Alberta. There is one permanent full-time position available.

Duties of the Home Support Worker (Live-In Caregiver) include:
• Provide personal care to elderly adult;
• Provide companionship to elderly adult;
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals;
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties;
• Administer bedside and personal care;
• Feed or assist in feeding;
• Administer medications, as instructed by the medical team;
• Assist in regular exercise, as instructed by the medical team; and
• Assist elderly adult with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.

Skill and Education Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• One or more years of experience;
• First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate;
• Criminal Record Check;
• Valid Driver’s Licence; and
• Ability to communicate in English both effectively and independently, and in an unsupervised setting.

The wage for the Home Support Worker (Live-In Caregiver) is $29.50/hr. The work week is 44 hours. Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. This is NOT a condition of employment.
