Tommy Gun’s Original Barbershop in Winnipeg, MB is looking for eight Barbers to work in either one of our two locations! (NOC: 6341)

Salary: $14.50/hour for 40 hours/week
Benefits: Dental and extended medical
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
Start date: As soon as possible

Language: English
Education : Some secondary school and barber/hairdressing training.
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, effective interpersonal skills, client focus, dependability
Barber Specific Skills: Cut and trim hair according to client’s Instructions or preferences; Shave and trim beards and mustaches; Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages.
Hairstylist Specific Skills: Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair; Suggest hair style compatible with client’s physical features or determine style from client’s instructions and preferences; Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair; Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair.
Additional Skills: Book appointments; Shampoo customers’ hair; Perform receptionist duties; Maintain and order supplies.
Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, physically demanding, Risks of slip and fall injuries, use of electrical tools, use of sharp objects, use of chemical products.
