Job Description:
– Position: Automotive service technician
– Employer: THE DICK IRWIN GROUP LTD. dba NORTH SHORE KIA
– Work Location: 855 W 1st St, North Vancouver, BC V7P 1A4
– Business Address: Same as above
– Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
– Wage: $43.00 per hour
– Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week
– Benefit: 4% of salary for vacation remuneration or 10 days of paid vacation.

Job Duties:
– Identify problems with vehicles and discuss repair plan with supervisor.
– Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components.
– Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, engine, steering and suspension etc.
– Test repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications.
– Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, fuel level checks, tire rotation, wiper placement etc.
– Keep the automotive repair center clean and organized.

Job Requirements:
– Education: Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program is required.
– Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in the related field is required.
– Red Seal certification is required for this position.
