Based in Calgary, Alberta, Sculptural Design is a specialty manufacturer of precast architectural concrete. Since 2002, we have been providing architects, interior designers and home builders with innovative, beautiful and completely custom architectural products—including fireplace and range surrounds, interior and exterior cladding, and commercial installations.

Job responsibilities are listed below:

Construct clay models and moulds for use in casting concrete products
Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions
Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size and type of goods produced
Set up and operate automatic machines that mix ingredients, extrude tempered clay mixture and cut extruded clay into sections
Set up, adjust and operate single-function machines to mix, drill, grind and cut concrete to specifications
Build and repair wooden frames used to mould concrete products
Check products for quality control
Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish
Perform ongoing machine adjustments
Fill moulds with concrete
Read blueprint, schemas and drawings
Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications
Finish stone products with spray paint and by mounting plaques or installing concrete bases
Remove castings from moulds
Finish surfaces of castings using screed or trowel
