Salary: $16 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
– 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a cook in an established restaurant is required;
– Work experience in cooking Japanese cuisine is an asset.

Job duties:
– Prepare, cook and present Japanese dishes on the menu;
– Prepare and cook foods for catering, and present and serve at clients’ functions;
– Prepare and cook foods, organize and manage brunch buffet on weekends;
– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances upon request;
– Clean and organize work areas;
– Inspect work areas for cleanliness, safety and hygiene;
– Take inventory and maintain records of foods, ingredients and supplies;
– Place order for foods, ingredients and supplies as required;
– Suggest/plan menus and estimate required foods and ingredients, costs and portions
