We are seeking to hire Senior Commercial Truck and Transport Mechanics to help us staff our night and weekend shifts. We operate a busy commercial truck repair facility, operating 24 hours per day Monday through Friday, and regular daytime hours during the weekend. You will be required to work a combination of either 2 weekday night and 2 weekend day shifts or 4 weekday night shifts per week.

Night shifts are: 7:00pm – 5:00am
Weekend shifts are: 7:00am – 5:00pm

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform senior-level inspection, diagnosis, repair and replacement of various components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine, and drive train, air brakes, steering, fuel, hydraulic, electrical, air-conditioning, emissions and electronic systems – across a wide variety of makes and models (Freightliner, Volvo, International, Mack, Hino, Isuzu, Western Star)
2. Perform senior-level inspection, diagnosis, repair and replacement of various components of commercial truck-trailer systems including structural, brake, refrigeration and electrical systems
3. Utilize computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to swiftly identify and diagnose faults or malfunctions at a senior mechanical level
4. Review and discuss work orders with Journeyman Supervisors, and sign off on repairs performed
5. Ensure that repaired systems meet or exceed OEM standards through testing and adjustments
6. Complete preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups, in accordance with established schedules

Wage/Salary: $40.00/hour
Benefits: Full Extended Medical and Health Benefits after 90 days employment, including Life Insurance, Dental, AD&D Insurance, $0.25/hour tool allowance; $100/year Boot Allowance; Paid Overtime Available

Skills Requirements
Education: No Minimum Education Requirements (if possessing equivalent experience); Applicable Trade Diploma and Red Seal Certification Desirable
Work Experience: Minimum of 7 years of verifiable work experience as a Commercial Truck Mechanic, including at least 2 years in a Senior Mechanic role.
Skills Requirements: Demonstrated work history and technical competence working with Detroit DD13 and DD15 Engines, Volvo I-Shift Transmissions and Adblue (SCR) Emissions Systems
