Job Description
Nova Collective Inc. is a management company that owns and directs controlling interest in multiple companies. These companies are involved in retail and e-commerce in the health and wellness space and include 12 franchise locations of “Supplement King”, which specializes in dietary supplements including, but not limited to, protein powders and bars, amino acids, pre-workout supplements, weight-loss products and functional health foods and drinks.
Nova Collective is currently looking for a Human Resources Officer to join the team.
Duties include:
Overseeing, implementing and coordinating administrative procedures
Handling paper, digital and voice correspondence
Assembling data and draft reports, manuals and correspondence
Identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting job advertisements, and collecting and screening job applications
Reviewing perspective applicant inventories and contacting potential applicants to arrange interviews and location transfers
Advising successful job applicants on employment obligations and of the terms and conditions surrounding their employment
Preparing draft job offers for successful applicants
Informing applicants of results of selection process, who were not selected
Advising franchise managers and employees on policies and procedures with regards to staff
Determining eligibility for benefits and implementing same when required
Working with store managers to arrange training of support staff
Providing information on services available like employee assistance and staff recognition programs
Working with management to establish work priorities
Assisting management with staff meetings and staff complaints (when required)
In the event of workplace accident, may assist with handling WorkSafe BC matters (when required)
Employment Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School is required
A university degree or college diploma is preferred
A minimum of 1 year of clerical experience, preferably in human resources or related department
