Memories of India is a well-established fine dining restaurant in the city of Creston, BC. We are expanding our business operations to the next level by way of making significant renovations and implementing a strategic marketing expansion plan.
Creston, a small regional area of east Kootenay, BC is an agriculture-based economy consistently developing both commercial and industrial enterprises in harmony with the agricultural products of the province. A unique economic development makes Creston an attractive place in the province of British Columbia.
A joint venture investment plan is in order to support this business expansion making this restaurant one of the finest places to be.
In the process of this business expansion plan the restaurant is searching for (2) experienced permanent full-time Cooks to join our team.
Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods in Indian cuisine.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Clean and maintain kitchen and work area.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

Employment Requirements:
• Completion of High School
• Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience as a Cook. Preferably in Indian/Oriental Cuisine
Additional Information :
• Should have comprehensive knowledge and experience in creating and preparing infused appetizers of various kinds.
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
• Be able to communicate in English. Fluency in Hindi is a strong asset.
• Flexible hours between day & night shifts
• Have an inner sense of urgency
• Have a willingness to learn
• Proper use of kitchen tools and equipment and lock out procedures
• Knife skills and common cuts
• Basic understanding of culinary terminology
• Ability and willing to complete Food Safe Level I
• Ability and willingness to complete WHMIS or equivalent (workplace hazards training)
• Understand and implement proper fire safety procedures (training provided)
