Mcleod Farms Salmon Arm is looking for three (3) Full-Time Dairy Farm Supervisors (NOC 82030) to join our growing team! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40-50 hours per week.
Job Description:
• Supervise and coordinate activities of farm workers and labourers engaged in milking, breeding, and caring for cows, and performs lay-veterinary duties on dairy farm.
• Train and assist farm workers to tasks, such as feeding and milking cows, cleaning cattle, barns, and equipment, and assisting with breeding and health care.
• Inspect barns and milking parlor for cleanliness and maintenance and informs workers of actions required to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of dairy farm safety and bio-security procedures
• Examine cows for evidence of illness, injuries, and calving, treats illnesses and injuries, delivers calves, and engages veterinarian to care for serious injuries and illnesses.
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Study feed and milk production records to determine feed formula required to produce maxi-mum milk yield and notifies workers of diet changes.
• Perform general farm duties
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years full-time experience working at a dairy farm. Supervisory experience is an asset
• Must be willing to work our schedule – could be 9 hours per day, 5.5 days per week.

• Monthly salary of $4600-$4700 (negotiable)
