Position: Underpinning Carpenters (NOC 72310)
Wage rate: $34.62/hr
Job type: Permanent, Full time.

Education: Completion of high school is required. College Diploma will be an asset.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in construction

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland.

Job Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to determine underpinning requirements and specifications.
Prepare layouts and ensure compliance with building codes using precision measuring tools.
Excavate and prepare sites for underpinning projects, including basement and crawl space lowering.
Build and install temporary supports, shoring systems, and other stabilization structures.
Construct and install foundation reinforcements, including concrete formwork, beams, and structural supports.
Perform foundation and structural repairs, ensuring stability and safety of existing structures.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and team members to ensure project success.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Supervise apprentices and assist in training new team members.

Working Conditions:
Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.
Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.
Repetitive task.
Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
