Kelowna Gymnastix is looking for two (2) Full-Time Parkour Coaches (NOC 53201)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week, $25.00 to $27.00/hour, with group benefits.
Job Description:
• Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions for parkour classes
• Develop, plan and coordinate competitive schedules and programs
• Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games
• Teach classes as assigned (pre-school, recreational, competitive).
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of students
• Nurture and develop athletes’ potential skills and abilities
• Formulate competitive strategies, develop game plans and direct athletes and players during games or athletic events
• Analyse and evaluate students’ performances and modify training programs.
• Demonstrate and instruct gymnastics and/or parkour activities and techniques
• Develop and carry out team warm-up and physical preparation plans.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Understand principles of group dynamics
• Communicate with parents on an as needed basis in a timely and professional manner
• Work collaboratively with other coaches and instructors to plan special events
• Attend any scheduled instructors and coaches’ meetings, and technical/planning meetings as required.
• Cleaning and maintenance of the gym as required.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as parkour coach/instructor (or equivalent)
• Language in the workplace is English
