• Location(s) of work: Metro Vancouver
• Title of position: Carpenter Helper

Duties
• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs (forming, framing, finishing)
• Clean and pile salvaged materials
• Assist tradespersons, specifically carpenter
• Operate hammers and saws

Equipment and machinery experience
• Circular saws
• Jackhammers
• Chain saw
• Sledgehammer

Employment requirements
o Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar position
o Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
o Work well independently and communicate well with site manager, possess conscientious disposition and are sensitive to a high level of care
o Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat
o Organized, detailed oriented, and a team player. You should enjoy working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
