Job Description

The Production Supervisor will report to the Vice President of Operations, and will also work closely with the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Director and the Quality Assurance Director and Purchasing Manager. We are looking for a highly disciplined professional with a proven track record. He/She will be responsible for ensuring the production team is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule with the assistance of the machine operators who direct the general labour staff. Is responsible for health & safety, quality, food safety and product specifications. The Candidate must be willing and able to take on tasks and assignments that might be otherwise outside of their normal job description.
Duties include; but are not limited to…
• Work with the VP Operations, Operations Manager and other team leads (cooks, operators, & warehouse) to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met;
• Assist with employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements;
• Participate as an active member of the production team;
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, food safety and health & safety;
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate production functions;
• Ensure all required documentation is completed and gathered for the entire day’s production by the end of the shift;
• Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work;
• Multi-task and be proactive in efficiently completing work;
• Responsible for adhering to food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and SQF requirements.

• Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with VP Operations and Operations Manager;
• Learn and adhere to safety and security policies and procedures;
• Ensure everyone follows all sanitation and quality policies and procedures, and reports any deficiencies to the QA Manager, Production Manager or Vice President of Operations;
• Adheres to all company policies; and
• Additional duties as assigned;

Required languages: English

Education level: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
