Located in Vancouver, Columbus Meat Market is currently looking for a Store Supervisor to join our team.
Job Description:
We are in need of a full-time staff member to handle customer relations, shipping and receiving, invoicing, and administration for a large butcher shop in Vancouver. You will be comfortable working in a very high-paced butcher shop and possess a high level of diligence and integrity for handling clients’ confidential information and monetary transactions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with QuickBooks, handle 100+ calls/day, have superior customer service, multi-task, meet deadlines, and be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Customers
• Answering the phone and taking orders from customers
• Maintaining customer service relations, including quality control
• Handle customer complaints, issues, and questions.
• Responsible for the wholesale customers, including orders, negotiation, credit application and relationship
• Authorize payments by cheque and return/refund of purchases when applying

Suppliers
• Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock
• Place an order with suppliers
• Review and confirm invoices and payments made on time

Store Operations
• Assisting with all data entries in Quickbooks: recording General Journal entries, sales invoices, payments received from customers, Purchase/Expense invoices, and payments to suppliers.
• Assist with payroll processing
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Other projects as assigned.
• Recruit and help train employees
• Make sure that health and safety measures are met
• Maintain health and safety measures and store cleanliness
• Organize and distribute staff schedules
• Prepare reports regarding incoming invoices, sales, deposits, and personnel matters

Required Education & Experience;
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a supervisory position
• Completion of high school diploma is mandatory;

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Excellent written, oral, and verbal communication skills
• Must have PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and advanced in Excel
• Superior time management and organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize
• Must have great customer service skills
• Must be able to work for at least 6-8 hours a day
• Bi-lingual skills are an advantage.

Pay Rate/ Salary: $22 per hour
