Banner Recreation and Marine is looking for a Full-Time Accounting Technician (NOC 12200)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week.
Job Description:
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and drive efficiencies
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents
• Prepare tax returns
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience
• Minimum completion of High School. College/university degree in accounting is an asset
• Must have full cycle accounting background
• Previous experience in the automotive industry (or related) is an asset.
• Language in the workplace is English

• $50,000.00 annual wage
