Our expertise spans event logistics planning, marketing, fundraising, and technology integration. We work on a variety of meaningful projects that support reconciliation, community engagement, and nonprofit growth. Each mandate varies in duration and scope, offering a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

We are seeking a highly organized Freelance Event Planner to help coordinate and execute events for our nonprofit clients. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and experience in event logistics. Candidates should be available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time, with a workload varying between 10 and 25 hours per week, depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:
> Event Planning & Logistics: Coordinate virtual, hybrid, and in-person events and ensure seamless execution.
> Stakeholder Communication: Engage with event partners, vendors, and community organizations, fostering strong relationships.
> Project Coordination: Maintain timelines, manage event deliverables, and provide regular updates to the team.
> Marketing & Promotion Support: Work with AMP’s marketing team to promote events, manage registrations, and coordinate outreach.
> On-Site and Virtual Support: Provide event-day assistance as needed, ensuring all logistics run smoothly.

Qualifications & Skills:
> Experience in event planning, particularly for nonprofits, Indigenous organizations, or educational initiatives.
> Strong communication skills (written and spoken English required; French is an asset).
> Cultural awareness & sensitivity, with an understanding of Indigenous protocols and community engagement preferred.
> Proficiency in project management tools (TeamWork, Asana, or similar) and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
> Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
> Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt to evolving project needs.
