Description:  
－Title: Health care aide (NOC 33102)
－Vacancy: 2 positions
－Wage: $25.19 per hour
－Work Hours: 30-35 hours/week
－Work Location: 3315 Coldstream Ave., Vernon, British Columbia, V1T 1Y1

Requirements: 
－Some secondary school education and some on-the-job training experience or completion of a related program in a college or authorized institution is required.
－Completion of specialized courses in CPR or first aid is an asset.
－BC HCA registry is required.
－Up to date Criminal Check with Vulnerable Factor is required.
－Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain.
－Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray is required.

Responsibilities: 

－Provide assistance and reminders for medication administration, as well as measure and record patients’ vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
－Assist patients with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and documenting fluid intake and output.
－Prepare and serve meals, offer guidance on menu selection, and assist with feeding if needed.
－Handle the weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning of patients, while also overseeing their exercise routines.
－Adhere to care plans, document observations, and maintain accurate records.
－Accompany clients on outings, organize recreational activities, and ensure their comfort and well-being during outdoor recreation.
－Promptly respond to call signals and administer first aid to injured or ill individuals within the limits of your competence during emergencies.
－Safely transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers for treatments or surgical procedures.
－Make beds, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the organization of patients’ rooms.
－Facilitate the transportation of patients between various medical care facilities.
－Perform shopping and other related errands as required.
