Central Alberta Medical Imaging Services Ltd. (CAMIS) requires a full-time Medical Sonographer in Red Deer.

Hourly Wage: $44.27/hr to $57.76/hr (based on experience)
Vacancies: 1 Vacancy
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time 40 hour per week.
Start date: As soon as possible

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Diploma in Diagnostic medical sonography/sonographer and ultrasound technician, or equivalent.
• CRGS – Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
• MSK and/or cardiac experience an asset

Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience, preferred.

Transportation/Travel Information: Must have their own reliable vehicle or means of transportation. Public transportation may be available.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Work Site Environment: Indoors, imaging clinic.

Required skills: Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images. Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to equipment, as required. Record, store and process scanned images by using camera unit connected to the ultrasound equipment. Prepare examination reports for physicians.

Additional skills / Assets: Prepare minor repairs or adjustments to sonography equipment. Provide assistance to patients during treatments. Ensure equipment is in proper condition and operation.
