VAS Masonry is looking for three (3) Full-Time Mason’s Helper/Labourer (NOC 75110-5)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $26.00/hour.
Job Description:
• Load and unload construction materials, and move and lift materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
• Measure and cut brick, block and stone
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and mortar
• Assist bricklayers in construction activities
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
• Assist in drilling holes in concrete
• Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers,
• Oil and grease mixers and similar equipment
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Job Requirements:
• Must be very strong and physically fit. Must be able to lift 80 lb bags of mortar above your head. Must be able to lift a 36-pound block in each hand and lift them onto scaffold all day long.
• Previous construction experience is an asset
• Language in the workplace is English

Various sites in the Okanagan valley/central BC. Office located in Kelowna, BC V1V 3B1
