Home Support Worker FULL TIME

Susan Angus, David Angus (private household)

We require a full-time home support worker to provide in-home support for our disabled adult son. This position is for a night shift, from 10 pm to 7 am, the worker will be required to work 9 hours per day and five days a week (45 hours per week). This is not a live-in position and the role requires the candidate to remain awake during the shift.

Key responsibilities include:
• Care for my adult son with a disability
• Assist with feeding, bathing and dressing (e.g. bowel accidents)
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Monitor oxygen, BiPap Machine, cathertization, and seizures
• Provide emotional reassurance — he can call for help
• Provide companionship
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

Employment requirements:

• Minimum of secondary school diploma
• Minimum 2 years of caregiver work experience
• First Aid Certificate
• Clean criminal record check
