Job Description
K. Steve’s Stucco of 613 Auburn Bay Ave, SE, Calgary, Alberta, T3M 1T3, is currently looking to hire a skilled Plasterer in full time to work within the city of Calgary. A minimum of 3 years of previous work experience required and a salary of $35.40/hour is offered to the right Candidate.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Apply trowel on Vapour barrier; Install seal tape around window door openings; Install tape joint mesh on substrate; Mix and match plaster and stucco; Clean and prepare surfaces; Mix plaster ingredients in trough to desired consistency; Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster using trowels, floats, brushes and spraying equipment; Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces; Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required; Cure freshly plastered surfaces; Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim; Spray acoustic materials or texture finish over walls and ceilings; Heavy duty spraying machine using different type of finish colour:-fine, medium, course, ultra course; Apply trowel on finish colour and floating by hand with plastic float different type:-fine, medium, course, ultra course; install drywall; taping joints:-straight, outside corners, inside corners; Level 5 mudding, smoothing out drywall mud; Plasters newly constructed buildings, walls, and ceilings on metal and wood lath, tile, and brick, using two and three coat techniques; Patches old plaster, removes loose plaster, cuts out cracks, and applies new plaster; Applies coats of plaster to interior walls, ceilings, and partitions of buildings, according to blueprints, architect’s drawings, or oral instructions, using hand tools and portable power tools; Spreads plaster over lath or masonry base, using trowel, and smoothes plaster to attain uniform thickness; Applies scratch, brown, or finish coats of plaster to wood, metal, or board lath successively; Roughens undercoat with scratcher, to provide bond for succeeding coats of plaster; Install guide wires on exterior surface of buildings to indicate thickness of plaster to be applied.
