Job Description

Looking for a caregiver for a family with three children to provide childcare services in the employer’s home. The caregiver will provide childcare, assist with their daily routine, personal hygiene, ensure a safe environment at home, walk the kids to bus stop, care for toddler during the day including play outside and in nearby park, feeding breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack, care and supervision for school-aged kids upon return from school, help with evening meal preparation, prepare kids’ lunches for school, light house work including dishes, laundry, vacuuming, dusting.
The caregiver needs to have at least a high school diploma, be able to speak clearly in English and have at least one year experience as a caregiver or 6-months related caregiver training.
Position is full time 40 hours per week, 5 days a week, two days off: generally Saturday and Sunday but this may vary according to the employer’s schedule, therefore flexibility is important for the employer. Salary is 18.38$ gross per hour for 40 hours a week (adjustable according to the prevailing wage rate increase). The workplace is located in Ottawa K0A 3H0.
