Ukrainian Bakery Corporation O/A COBS Bread is looking for Baker to join them ASAP.

Work Location: 9855 Austin Road, Suite 224, Burnaby, British Columbia V3J 1N4
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (32 to 35 hours a week)
Wage: $21.50 per hour

Job Duties:

• Operate baking equipment, ovens, and other machinery to bake a variety of bread and bakery items according to the company’s recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare the ingredients for baking, including measuring and mixing ingredients such as flour, yeast, water, and other components to make various bread and pastry products.
• Mixing, kneading, and shaping dough to make bread, rolls, pastries, and other baked goods.
• Decorating pastries and bread.
• Arrange baked goods in the display cases.
• Ensure that all baked goods meet quality standards. Baker is required to monitor baking times, temperatures, and appearance to ensure that products are baked to perfection.
• Follow established recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent quality and taste in all products.
• Keep track of inventory, including ingredients and supplies, and notify management when supplies are running low to avoid shortages.
• May interact with customers, answer questions about the products and make recommendations.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• May train newly hired personnel

Job Requirements:

• Education: Completion of Secondary school is required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar setting is required
• Language: Must be able to communicate in English (functional English is required)
