Responsibilities
Tasks: Direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns, Hire, supervise and schedule staff, Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns, Plan and direct grounds maintenance, Plan and estimate labour and materials, Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls, Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work, Read blueprints and drawings, Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies, Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, Establish work schedules and procedures
Supervision: 5-10 people
Experience and specialization
Equipment and machinery experience: Backhoe, Chain saw, Pick-up truck, Small engine equipment, Sod cutter, Skidsteer
Area of specialization: Landscape construction
