Sandrine French Pastry & Chocolate is looking for two (2) Full-Time Pastry Chefs (NOC 62200)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $20.50 to $24.00/hour, with benefits.
Job Description:
• Create and bake a variety of French pastries, cakes, croissants, and chocolates
• Ensure quality and consistency on all chocolate production, pastries, and baked goods
• Work with management to create new chocolate menus seasonally
• Complete weekly inventory of items (and let management know when items are needed to be ordered)
• Create and develop new pastry recipes
• Daily production and preparation of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods for store and ATM’s
• Work with management on production schedules to meet the demands of the business
• Review production schedule with management on a weekly basis
• Ensure that all products are made in a timely manner and to the highest standards
• Maintain high standards or cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed
• Conduct regular quality checks on all products
• Train and supervise junior staff members.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of proven experience as Pastry Chef
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and trends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Language in the workplace is English
