Title of the Position: Shift Manager

Main duties:
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Hire food service staff
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Prepare budget and cost estimates
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Prepare and submit reports
• Establish work schedules
• Order supplies and maintain inventory
• Check and monitor product quality
• Assign personnel to equipment and routes and schedule work shifts
• Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field
• Set up machines and equipment
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• All other relevant tasks

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full Time

Language of Work: English
Wage: $18.30/hour
Location of Work: 374 Queen Street East, Acton, Ontario L7J2Y5

Job and Skill Requirements:
• At least 2 years of relevant experience including prior work experience at a Mc Donald’s Restaurant;
• Work conditions – Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, standing for extended periods;
• Completion of College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
