Job Title: Painter
Wage Rate: $26.00 hourly
Job Type: Full Time & Permanent (at-least 30 hours weekly)
Language Proficiency: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Job Details: The incumbent will be required to work on various work sites in Calgary, AB and nearby areas

Experience: Previous related work experience will be an asset, on the job training will be provided
Start date of employment: As soon as Possible

Key Responsibilities:

– Determine quantities of materials required by reading specifications or visiting the work site
– Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
– Remove loose paint or wallpapers & repair cracks and holes in the surfaces
– Mix and thin paint to desired colour and texture
– Measure, cut and apply wallpaper or other fabric to walls, where required
– Advise customers on colours and choice of wall coverings
– Apply paint, wallpaper or other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
– Provide cost estimates to potential customers
